Butte County Supervisor District 5 Map
Campaign video on:
Hello,
I am running for Butte County Supervisor in the 5th District, which includes Paradise, Magalia, Stirling City, Butte Meadows, Butte Valley, Butte Creek Canyon and the Chico foothill area between lower Skyway, Bruce Road and SR32 (Stilson Canyon, Doe Mill, Spanish Gardens, Honey Run and Centerville). The election is on June 5.
What is your biggest concern? Mine is the economy. I will build our community to have more jobs by changing policies so that they are fair for all sizes of business.
Butte County has a strong agricultural base, and yet we import a great deal of our food. My first priority will be to assist farmers, producers, and distributors working to localize our food system. It makes sense in Butte County for local food to be readily available in stores and markets to feed all 220,000 people who live here year round.
Localizing our economy starts with food. Locally grown food is good for us, good for employment, good for Butte County, and local food can become more affordable. This change will happen by eliminating laws which are bad for local business. I will level the playing field by implementing policies which will enable small and medium size businesses to compete in a market that is more fair and free than it is today.
I appreciate your interest in my campaign. In the header above there is a YouTube link to my campaign commercial, my Facebook group and Twitter.
