On the town council I work to maintain and promote public safety. The town budget has remained balanced. I serve on various committees where we coordinate with other agencies. I facilitated an update of our Master Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan which helps the town receive grants to improve the safety of roadways and safe routes to school. I helped get outside funding for the Skyway Corridor Study, a major step toward improving the look, feel, and most importantly the safety of this key region inside our town. I initiated an ongoing task force of parents and youth who, under the Paradise Community Village Board, are making progress on the Paradise Skate and Bike Park, a safe place for youth to freely go to enjoy their sport.
Our family has called Paradise home since 1989. Our son Miles was born here, and now he is a senior at Paradise High School and taking classes at Butte College. Maurice and I own a business in Paradise since 1994. I completed a Master’s program at CSU, Chico, and I have been teaching classes since 2001.
